New CFPB Website Makes Reg’s Easier to Use

In response to comments that navigating federal consumer finance regulations was a cumbersome process, the CFPB launched eRegulations, which is an open source webiste that boasts the following features:

•Easy to search and navigate.
•Key terms are defined throughout.
•Official interpretations are available throughout.
•Includes certain sections of the “Federal Register preambles” to help explain the background to any particular paragraph.
•Ability to see previous, current, and future versions.

It should be noted that eRegulations is not an official version of the CFR or the Federal Register. It is merely a tool to help you navigate the official rules and regulations.  For now, eRegulations only contains Reg E., but expect to see more information added in the near future.

Remember, the e-Regulations site is open-source, so feel free to add commentary, fix typos or make any other suggetions you like.
